Adding to Solveig's Tree Display, I think we have to focus on children acceptability, making the childfeels like they are the special ones; not the parents, the kids get to pick! Looking at the height dates, making multiple trees and turning the tree up-side-down can be possiblesolutions i explored.
Also, I think picking experience should be a teaching opportunity too, as illustrated how there can be more information of the organizations at parents' eye-level, so that teaching can be done in the
process at the same time.
I had also added to the interlocking display idea too. (like how the button works.)
I like this idea Peter - maybe we could have a root system with cogs connected to the bigger ideas of the organization for the branches. A visualization of our concept somehow? I will bring foam-core and thread so we can try simulating/sewing this and test it visually. I will try drawing a template in illustrator when I get back home. cheers, Solveig
ReplyDeletethat's what i was thinking too, have 12 of them, so each cogs are connected to the information about. It's like a seeking the root experience too. fun to play with.
ReplyDeleteYup - look forward to playing with this idea tomorrow. We need to have a chance to play a bit more with prototyping with our 3d ideas peter. It was a little too stressed today. Lets try some things tomorrow, while the other two focus on getting the flash together. Can you bring all the stuff you have worked with? We should maybe explore making some molds this week and trying different materials this week-end? s
ReplyDeleteyes for sure. i am still currently finishing up the storyboard and scanning them. sorry again for my sunday delay (everything is a day behind).
