info chart

hey all, here is an idea for the info chart using the 11 x 17" paper, and chopping it down the middle so that each side is 5.5".

Sketch-ups

Just some Solidwork sketch-up for our 3D Display.
Closest wood pattern to reality:

Some experimenting with the placement of holes:

(Solveig: We can just output the holes as drafting sketch if things works here. They are 20mm apart and extra holes on turns.)

the board is cooking

Info posters for sides of display

Here is first attempt of the infographics for the sides of the display that Solveig is making.

Please comment.

Labels

Please have a close look at the labels. I have played with the opacity starting from 100% on the top, and working down to 85% on the bottom. Also notice the placement of the cogs and the different sizes, and how some are located under the brow text, and others to the sides.
I have used the brown background to highlight the contrast to the wooden display.

Some of the organizations...

...with a few pretty cogs thrown in! I drew the logos, and simplified where possible so that they are recognizable, but not too congested...

Hello all, please vote for your favourite combo. I like the middle one, but majority rules.

Video - Version 1

We'll be doing revisions tomorrow. At least for tomorrow we'll have it all mocked up.

the poster

this poster actually spans across 4-tabloid size pages. I would like to use it in our 2D as it works well to bring the film into our 2D.

Bree - Missing Files

Hey Bree,

I can't seem to find some elements from this frame. If you could get me these at some point in an .ai file that'd be great!
Thanks

Home transition idea

I thought that maybe the buildings in home could transform into balls of the twelve colours, and then help to spell out the next line?

The cogs making motion

Tween transition

Hey guys, here is an idea for a transition between the tween part and the definition... the arrows are used to show the direction the balls would move when hit by the swinging words, we wouldn't see them in the movie. We would follow the 3rd ball up and out of the screen, much like the Herman Miller thought bubble.
